Use in winter season and frost-protection accessories
The trough itself as well as the float valve cover are completely insulated.
Excellent insulation provides frost protection in winter, fresh water in summer and offers best-in-class stability at any time.
If used in extremely cold areas and when enhanced frost protection is required, SUEVIA Heating Element Model 6072 (24 V, 180 Watt) can be
additionally installed.
Attention!
The drinking bowl must not be run without water if the heating is activated!
SUEVIA Heating Element Model 6072 for direct installation into the trough
Heating Element Model 6072, 24 V, 180 W (Order Ref. 131.6072) providing enhanced frost protection in the float valve area can be additionally
installed. For power supply a transformer 230/24 V is necessary. Ref. 131.6072 - 24 V, 180 W see Mounting Installation Model 6072. For power supply
use a transformer 230/24 V (Ref. 101.0390, 200 W, Ref. 101.0392, 400 W). For automatic switch on/off of transformer a thermostat (Ref. 101.0389)
can be additionally installed. To ensure a frost-free feed pipe, a frost protection heating cable 24 V, 20 W, 2 m (Ref. 101.0861), or a 24 V, 30 W, 3 m
(Ref. 101.1863) has to be used. The heating cable should be wrapped around the pipe and connected to the heating element of the drinker in parallel to
the power supply cable, coming from the transformer. If this heating cable is installed on plastic pipes, make sure that this water pipe is suited for warm
and cold water. For better heat distribution the water pipe has to be wrapped first with an aluminium adhesive tape (Ref. 101.1099).
Electrical connection
Observe the electrical connection sceme and max. cable lengths, which you will find in the list on the page 12.
All installation, maintenance and inspection works must be carried out by an authorised and qualified specialist. Local norms must be respected.
All electrical connections must be installed outside of animal's reach! Protect the cable against animals' bites!
Connection to the water circuit
If additionally connected to a heating unit means of a connection set 1" for water circuits (Order Ref. 103.1988) an optimum of frost protection of the
water line is reached. For installation see maounting instructions of heating unit.
Optional accessory
If a higher water flow is desired, a second float valve MAXIFLOW Mod. 700 (Best.-Nr. 131.0700) or a low pressure float valve Mod. 738 (Order
Ref. 131.0738) can be installed at any time. For the installation of a second float valve a splash protection plate (Ref. 132.6068) must be additionally
ordered.
When installing further (max. two) low or high pressure float valves, it is possible to use alternative water sources in parallel! It enables you e.g. the
additional use of the warm water from the milk cooling system as well es the water form your own sourse! When 2 or max 3 float valves (low and high
pressure float valves) are installed in parallel, an automatic water filling from different water sources can be arranged by the height adjustment of the
float valves.
