INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR NON-
DUCT KIT MODEL ANKCP55
PREPARE HOOD FOR NON-DUCTED INSTALLATION
CAUTION: be sure to use only metal ducting. Do not use
plastic ducting.
1. Prior to hood installation in the custom hood, install the 8" to 7"
reducer.
2. Cut a length of round metal duct to fit between the transition,
reducer or duct connector.
3. Install the transition supplied with the non-duct kit.
4. Cut a length of rectangular duct to fit between the transition and
face of the custom hood.
5. Tape all duct joints to make them secure and air tight.
6. After installation of the electrical wiring, install the range hood into
the custom hood. See installation instructions provided with hood
for details.
7. Finish the non-ducted installation with a decorative metal return
grille. To ensure adequate air flow and quiet operation, make sure
the grilles "free area" is at least 50% of the grille length x height.
INSTALL RECIRCULATION FILTERS
1. Using no. 6 x 1/2" screws,
install one filter suppot on
each side (provided) of the
internal blower.
2. Position each filter over its
support, insert both pins (B)
into the round slot (C) on
filter side and rotate to lock
in place.
3. Replace recirculation filters
every 120 hours of range
hood operation. These
filters should never be
immersed in water.
4. Replacement filters are
available from your dealer.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY FOR BEST PRODUCTS
Broan-NuTone LLC (Broan-NuTone) warrants to the original consumer purchaser of Best products that such
products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of
original purchase. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
During this one-year period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace, without charge, any product
or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO FLUORESCENT LAMP STARTERS, TUBES, HALOGEN AND
INCANDESCENT BULBS, FUSE, FILTERS, DUCTS, ROOF CAPS, WALL CAPS AND OTHER ACCESSORIES
FOR DUCTING. This warranty does not cover (a) normal maintenance and service or (b) any products or
parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance or repair (other than
by Broan-NuTone), faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions.
The duration of any implied warranty is limited to the one-year period as specified for the express warranty.
Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not
apply to you.
BROAN-NUTONE'S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT BROAN-NUTONE'S OPTION, SHALL BE THE
PURCHASER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. BROAN-NUTONE SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION
WITH PRODUCT USE OR PERFORMANCE. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental
or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to
state. This warranty supersedes all prior warranties.
To qualify for warranty service, you must (a) notify Broan-NuTone at the address or telephone number
stated below, (b) give the model number and part identification and (c) describe the nature of any defect in
the product or part. At the time of requesting warranty service, you must present evidence of the original
purchase date.

PRÉPARATION DE LA HOTTE POUR UNE
INSTALLATION SANS CONDUITS
ATTENTION : n'utilisez que des conduits métalliques.
N'utilisez pas de conduits en plastique.
1. Avant d'installer la hotte dans le boîtier personnalisé, posez un
réducteur de 20,3 à 17,8 cm (8 à 7 po).
2. Coupez un conduit rond métallique d'une longueur adéquate pour
le placer entre la transition, le réducteur ou le raccord de conduit.
3. Installez la transition incluse dans l'ensemble pour hotte sans
conduits.
4. Coupez un conduit rectangulaire d'une longueur adéquate pour le
placer entre la transition et la face de la hotte personnalisée.
5. Scellez tous les joints au ruban à conduit.
6. Une fois le câblage électrique terminé, installez la hotte dans le
boîtier personnalisé. Pour plus de détails, consultez les directives
d'installation accompagnant la hotte.
7. Terminez l'installation de l'ensemble sans conduits par la pose
de la grille métallique décorative de retour. Pour assurer une
circulation adéquate de l'air et un fonctionnement silencieux,
veillez à ce que les « zones libres » de la grille correspondent au
moins à 50 % de la longueur et de la largeur de la grille.
INSTALLATION DES FILTRES DE RECIRCULATION
1. À l'aide de vis n° 6 x 1/2 po,
installez un support de filtre
(fourni) de chaque côté du
ventilateur interne.
2. Placez chaque filtre sur son
support, insérez les goujons
(B) dans les fentes arrondies
(C) sur le côté du filtre et
tournez-le pour le bloquer
en place.
3. Remplacez les filtres de
recirculation tous les 120
heures d'utilisation de la
hotte. Ne plongez jamais
ces filtres dans l'eau.
4. Des filtres de rechange sont
offerts chez votre détaillant.

l'entretien et le service normal ou (b) tout produit ou pièce endommagé à la suite d'un mauvais usage, d'une
négligence, d'un accident, d'un entretien inadéquat ou d'une réparation (autre que par Broan-NuTone), d'une
mauvaise installation ou d'une installation non conforme au mode d'installation recommandé.
La durée de toute garantie implicite est limitée à une période de un an tel que spécifié pour la garantie
exprimée. Certains États ou provinces ne permettent pas de limitation de la durée d'une garantie implicite.
