Time in the Breguet style
The C
watch is directly
LASSIQUE
inspired by the work of A.-L. Breguet.
It embodies the principles with
which he revolutionized watch
design: purity of form, harmony of
proportion and clarity of informa-
tion, reflecting the ordered beauty
of the movement within. Its features
are the hallmarks of the Breguet
style, from its finely fluted caseband
to its hand-engraved "guilloché"
dial. Your C
watch has been
LASSIQUE
made to represent the ideal face of
time.
The C
watch with tourbillon
LASSIQUE
and perpetual calendar salutes two
of A.-L. Breguet's most prestigious
complications.
The historic tourbillon regulator,
patented in 1801, was conceived to
compensate for errors in rate caused
by the constant changes in a watch's
position. It consists of mounting the
escapement and sprung balance in
a mobile carriage which rotates on
itself with utter regularity. Errors
are thus reproduced regularly and
cancel each other out, rather than
accumulating. Two centuries later
it remains a technical "tour de
force". It is particularly impressive
in combination with the perpetual
calendar, whose quality also reflects
over two hundred years of experi-
ence.
