You can enjoy multi-channel surround playback through the front, center, surround speakers.
MULTI:
For multi-channel encoded sources such as Dolby Digital. (When activated, "MULTI" is shown on the screen.)
Dolby Pro Logic II (Movie/Music):
For 2 channel sources except for MPEG1/MPEG2 discs.
• After connecting the center speaker, make sure to activate the center speaker; otherwise, no sound comes out of
the center speaker. (
• You cannot activate this function in the following cases:
– When "iPod USB" is selected as the source.
– When Dual Zone is in use.
Turning on the surround

Select <Disc Surround> on AV Menu.

Turn on the surround.
Turn on the surround (1), then touch
<Auto> to show the surround modes (2).

Select a surround mode.
<Auto>:
• When multi-channel digital signals come in,
"MULTI" surround is activated.
• When 2-channel or 2.1-channel signals*
come in, 4-channel stereo is activated.
<Through>:
All incoming channel signals are sent to the
corresponding speakers.
<Dolby PLII Movie>:
Activates Dolby Pro Logic II Movie.
<Dolby PLII Music>:
Activates Dolby Pro Logic II Music. You can
adjust <Panorama> and <Center Width>
settings. (
