A 1 Main Body Assembly

E 2 M16x50x2.0 Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Bolt Caps.
F 2 M12x35x1.75 Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers and Bolt Caps
G 1 Grommet.
H 2 Bush (88 Long x 25 O.D)
S 2 M12 x 130 x 1.75 Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and 4 off 40 O.D Flat Washers.
CP 1 20mm Coupling Packer
CB 2 M16 x 65mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers.
X 2 Existing M14 Bolts
Y 1 M8 Retaining Bolt integral to Main Body.
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove red plastic insert from rear cross member.
2. Insert Main Body Assembly (A) vertically into tapered housing in vehicle cross member and hold in place whilst
removing M8 Retaining Bolt (Y).This will allow spring loaded shaft to engage into housing. It is essential to check that
the shaft is fully engaged (see fig1).
3. Insert an appropriate punch or alternatively the M8 Bolt (Y) into shaft retaining hole (Y) and lightly tap spring loaded
shaft to ensure tapered surfaces bed in sufficiently.
4. Insert retaining bolt (Y) into tapped hole in top of main assembly (A) and insert Grommet (G) into hole at position (Y).
5. Pre 2008 models. Remove M14 Bolts (X) (see diagram) from inner faces of chassis rails. Note: Bush retaining nut
on outer face is securing chassis bush and is not holding Bolt X in position. Fit sidearms (C) & (D) using fixings (X).
Post 2008 models. Insert bush (H) into key hole slot in chassis and attach sidearms (C) & (D) using fixings (S).
6. Attach drop plate (B) to main body (A) using fixings (E).
7. Attach sidearm's (C) and (D) to drop plate (B) using fixings (F). Fully tighten all Fixings.
8. When attaching Towball ensure Coupling packer (CP) is used to ensure adequate clearance around ball.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
