CHECKING THE BATTERIES
When the card check is complete, the remaining battery
power is displayed on the control panel.
Display

Note:
When taking pictures on a special occasion, on a
trip, or in cold temperatures, keep spare batteries
handy or use nickel metal hydride batteries.
If you do not operate the camera for three
minutes, the camera will be set to the stand-by
mode. After four hours in the stand-by mode, the
power turns off automatically. (Time varies
depending on the type of batteries used.)
To turn on again, close and open the lens barrier.
Meaning
Batteries are OK.
You can shoot.
Battery power is low and
batteries should be
replaced.
Batteries are dead and
should be replaced
immediately.
