Care and Protection of Stainless Steel (Depending on model)
The main component of your patio heater is stainless steel. All stainless-steel grades
require a level of care and protection to retain their appearance.
Stainless steel is not immune to corrosion and neither is it maintenance-free, contrary
to popular public perception.
Even the highest marine grades of stainless steel require frequent cleaning with fresh
water to avoid oxidation and other corrosive issues
Stainless steel is not a maintenance-free material.
It is therefore advisable to use a protective cover when the patio heater is not in use.
However, it is vital to understand that unless the heater is cool, clean and dry when
the cover is fitted, use of a cover can in fact be detrimental. A cover placed on a warm,
wet or unclean device (or any combination of these factors) can in fact be a very
effective corrosion breeder!
For this reason, the heater should always be cool, cleaned and thoroughly dry before
a protective cover is fitted. This is especially important before storage for any length
of time.
In order to maintain the quality of the stainless-steel finish, it is important to be vigilant
with care and maintenance.
Use warm soapy water and a steel wool sponge with soap, taking care not to scratch
the surface in the stained areas.
Never use an abrasive cleaner on your patio heater.
All alterations and modifications made to the device by the user without the
authorization of the manufacturer or its authorized representative are strictly
prohibited and may be extremely dangerous. Such alterations or modifications shall
result in the immediate suspension of the warranty.
