05 | FIRST USE
1. Open the camera releasing the lateral tension locks (16).
2. Make sure that the On/O switch (9) is on OFF position.
CAUTION
To avoid camera damages always make sure that camera is switched o (9 = OFF) when inserting batteries or changing SD card.
3. Insert 4 or 8 AA/1,5V batteries (optional) into the battery compartment (13). Respect correct polarity (+/-). Make sure to use
fresh high-quality batteries of same brand. To setup the camera, 4 batteries (6V) are sufficient. In observation mode please
use 8 batteries.
CAUTION
Do not use re-chargeable batteries. They may lead to malfunction.
4. Insert a SD/SDHC memory card (optional) with the label facing upwards into the SD card slot (12). Make sure that the SD card
is formatted and unlocked. The camera supports SD/SDHC cards from 2GB to 32 GB.

IMPORTANT

Please make sure to format and to unlock the SD card before use! To format the SD card with the camera, please refer to chapter 09
"FORMATTING"
5. Slide the On/O switch (9) to "SETUP" position. The Display shows the basic settings:

In order to change the camera settings slide the On/OFF switch (9) to ""SETUP" position
and press the "MENU" button (6).The LCD display (5) shows a list of various menu options:
