2. Meter/yard switching
The range can be displayed in meters or in yards, as desired. Use a short press on the On
button to switch on the display and see the setting currently selected. An extended press
for over 3 seconds on the Mode button will cause the setting to change.
3. Range estimation
− Focusing the aiming mark
You have to adjust diopter to obtain a clear image in the LCD screen.
First, rotate the diopter adjustment ring counterclockwise until it comes to a complete stop.
Next, turn on the power by pressing the On Button to activate the LCD screen. Rotate the
diopter adjustment ring clockwise until the display comes into focus.
If the diopter is not adjusted to correspond to your eyesight, you may not be able to
correctly aim at your subject.
− Measuring
While looking through the rangefinder, depress the On button once to activate the LCD
screen. Place the aiming symbol (located in the center of the field of view) upon a target at
least 5 yards/meters away and then depress the On button again for approximately 3
seconds until the range reading is displayed. The laser emission symbol blinks at the bottom
of the screen indicating the laser is being transmitted. Once a range has been acquired, you
can release the On button. The laser emission symbol will disappear once the On button
has been released (i.e. the laser is no longer being transmitted). You can depress the On
button again at any time to measure distance to a new target. Should it not be possible to
take a measurement because the range has been exceeded or because the reflectivity of
the target is insufficient, this will be shown by the indicator "END" on the LCD screen. A
fresh measurement can be taken immediately.
After measurement, the measured result is displayed for approximately 15 seconds, then
the rangefinder switches off automatically when the display goes off.
