1A – PRIMARY AIR CONTROL
With the air register located under the door of the hearth (on the left), it is possible to adjust the air flow through the ash drawer and the
grating in direction of the fuel. The primary air is necessary for the combustion process during the ignition. In order to open the passage
of primary air the lever should be completely pulled. The ash drawer has to be emptied regularly, so that ash cannot hinder the intake of
primary air for the combustion. Primary air is also necessary to keep fire live.
During the combustion of wood, the primary air register must be opened only a few, since otherwise the wood burns quickly and the device
can overheat (see chapter NORMAL OPERATION).
2A – sECONDARY AIR CONTROL
On the over part of the hearth door there is the secondary air register. This register must be totally moved to the right in order to open the
control, especially for wood combustion (see paragraph Table). The secondary air, passing between the double glass of the fire door, heats
itself starting the double combustion and keeping at the same time increasing the yield and assuring the cleaning of the glass (see chapter
NORMAL OPERATION). It is possible to get the air sECONDARY directly from outside through a flexible tube fireproof NOT furnished (see
chapter VENTILATION AND AERATION OF THE INsTALLATION PREMIsEs).
The control regulation necessary in order to obtain nominal calorific output is the following (see Cap. TECHNICAL DATA):

The smokes control, in the style of a chromed pull push lever, can be found on the top right corner of the front side of the cooker, between
the protection bar and the oven door. This control has two settings:
HOB COOKING: when the bar is pushed to the back of the cooker, the combustion gases flow around the oven and directly into the flue and
up to the chimney. OVEN COOKING: when the control bar is pulled out, the combustion gases flow around the oven, heating it.
To ignite the flame follow the instructions below (see Cap. IGNITION) :
•
Bring the flue gas control to the cooker position (any butterfly valve placed on the flue gas exhaust pipe must also be opened).
•
Open the primary and secondary air control.
•
After having started the fire with small pieces of wood and waited until it is well lit.
•
Bring the flue gas control to the oven position.
•
Close any butterfly valve placed on the flue gas exhaust pipe must also be opened.
The control regulation during the ignition phase is the following :

How to set the machine to BOIL WATER
• Keep the flue gas register on the cooker function – OVEN COOKING UsE 36mm OPEN.
• Primary air CLOsED.
• secondary air completely open.
• Load wood as described in the manual (hourly load = hourly consumption).
How to set the machine to COOk BIsCUITs
• Keep the flue gas register on the cooker function – HOTPLATE UsE.
• Primary air CLOsED.
• secondary air completely OPEN.
• switch the cooker on with a moderate load of wood until the oven thermometer indicates 180 °C.
• Wait for 220-230 °C to be reached without additional wood being loaded.
• Load a single piece of wood weighing 500 - 600 g one at a time and wait for it to burn completely before adding another.
• This keeps the oven temperature stable around 220-230 °C.
• Place the tray of biscuits in the medium position for 10 minutes.
• Turn the tray halfway through cooking, if necessary.
