Residual risks
Even when the tool is used properly, there is always a certain residual risk
that cannot be excluded. The following potential hazards can be derived from
the type and design of the tool:
- Contact with the unprotected saw chain (cutting injury)
- Reaching into the running saw chain (cutting injury)
- Unforeseen, sudden movement of the saw-bar (cutting injury)
- Centrifuging parts of the saw chain
- Centrifuging of parts of the material to be cut
- Hearing damage if no prescribed hearing protection is worn
- Inhalation of particles of the cutting material, exhaust gases
from the internal combustion engine
- Contact of petrol on the skin
