PRIOR TO PREPARING COFFEE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before brewing coffee for the first time, please run one or two brewing cycles
without coffee powder, to remove any residues from the manufacturing process.
We also recommend running one brewing cycle without coffee powder, if the
appliance has not been in use for an extended period.
1.
Remove all packaging materials and transport safeguards. Keep packaging
materials away from children– danger of suffocation!
2.
Clean the glass coffee pot, the water tank and bean container, the filter, as
described in the chapter, "Cleaning and Care".
3.
Wipe off the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
4.
Fill the water tank to the MAX marking with tap water. Ensure that there are
no beans in the bean container.
5.
Close the lid of the glass coffee pot and place it on the warming plate.
6.
Plug the mains plug of the appliance into an electrical outlet (220–240 V ~
50/60 Hz).
7.
Turn the control dial to "Coffee Powder", press "EIN/AUS" and wait until
the procedure is ended.
8.
Switch off the appliance by placing the control dial on "Stop".
9.
Pour this water out.
10. Clean the glass coffee pot.
BREWING COFFEE
Important: Never make coffee if the cover of the chamber in the lid is not
attached. Coffee residues flying about could get into the interior of the
appliance and cause damage.

Open the lid of the coffee maker.

Remove the water tank/bean container:

Check whether the filter is inserted in the bean container.
4.
Caution: Always put the coffee beans or the coffee powder into the filter first,
only fill with water after this has been done.
5.
Fill the coffee beans into the bean container (max. 35 g). Usually a cup or
two cups of coffee needs three spoons of coffee beans, three cups of coffee
