5. Transport, packaging and storage
5.1 Transport
Check pressure gauge for any damage that may have been caused by
transport. Obvious damage must be reported immediately.
5.2 Packaging
Do not remove packaging until just before mounting.
Keep the packaging as it will provide optimum protection during trans-
port (e.g. change in installation site).
5.3 Storage
Permissible conditions at the place of storage:
Storage temperature: -20 ... +70 °C
Protect the pressure gauge from dust.
6. Commissioning, operation
The pressure gauge should be kept in its original packing until
installation. The gauge should be protected from external damage
during storage.
The gauge should only be removed form the sterile packaging
shortly before mounting at the measuring point.
On removal from the packaging, and during mounting, particular
care must be taken to avoid damage and any mechanical
deformation to the diaphragm.

The instruments are optionally packed under sterile
conditions, and on the perforation on the rear of the
sterile packaging there is a brown-coloured process
indicator. By checking this brown colouration you can
find out whether the gauge has been packed under
sterile conditions.
Store instruments that are packed under sterile condi-
tions in the instrument package (no condensation
allowed, storage time: 6 months).
