4. TROUBLESHOOTING
If your PC does not recognize the drive set for the PC Card Adapter
for the SD Memory Card/MultiMediaCard, check the following table.
If the problem cannot be solved by the information and measures
listed in the table, please contact your dealer or nearest support center.
Check Item
• Is the PC card adapter
compatible with the PC in
use?
• Is the PC card adapter in-
serted firmly into the PC
card slot?
• Is the Memory Card
inserted firmly into the
PC card adapter?
• Does the specified drive
name coincide with the
drive name of the PC card
slot where the PC card is
inserted?
• Has the software been
properly set up?
• The PC card adapter is not
recognized.
• Depending on the
condition of the
equipment connected to
the PC, the PC card may
not function due to
resource conflict.
Treatment
• Make sure that the PC in use is
equipped with a TYPE II or
TYPE III PC card slot in com-
pliance with both the [PCMCIA
Rel. 2.1/JEIDA Ver. 4.2] and [PC
Card Standard].
• Make sure that the card and
card adapter are inserted firmly
in position.
• Check the drive name assigned
to the PC card slot where the
PC card is inserted.
• Check that the Socket Service,
Card Service and ATA Card de-
vice driver are set up correctly.
• Certain PCs may need to be
rebooted after inserting this
product.
• Open Control Panel
Device Manager, and set the
IRQ (Interrupt Request) and I/
O ports of the unit (PC Card
Adapter) manually.
