PC card recognition procedure

Windows
95/98/98SE/Me/2000 Professional incorporates a
Socket Service, Card Service and ATA Card Device Driver.
Therefore, the PC card becomes ready for use as soon as it is
inserted in the PC card slot. The procedure is as described in the
following.

Start Windows
2000 Professional.

Insert the PC card in the PC card slot.

When the [New Hardware Found]
screen appears, select [Windows de-
fault driver] and click [OK]. Except for

Windows
automatically.

When the PC recognizes the PC card,
it displays the files stored in the PC
card, which now become available.
NOTE:
The dialog box shown on the right may
not be displayed automatically with
certain PCs. In this case, check My
Computer to see if a new HDD has
been created in it.
