4 digital phone services with the
ISDN telephone adapter
With the ISDN telephone adapter, you can make use of all cablecom digital phone
services with the exception of sending SMS's from the land line. Instructions
for the use of all services can be found in the general operating manual or in the
cablecom digital phone Quick Guide. There, too, you will find a description of how
to operate the cablecom box (fully integrated voice mailbox).
The following ISDN features are directly supported by your ISDN telephone device
(see the operating manual for your ISDN telephone).
Hold Operation by ISDN telephone devices is menu-driven. In most
cases, you can hold an existing connection by pressing the
«R» key.
You can also switch between calls (alternately speak with two
existing connections) via the menu.
3-way conference This service is menu-driven via your ISDN telephone devices.
Call waiting This operation of this service via your ISDN telephone devices
is menu-driven. And of course, you must follow the instructions
in the digital phone operating manual to activate this service.
Instructions on setting up other additional services such as call diversion,
«do not disturb», block outgoing calls, reject anonymous calls, suppress
call-by-call identification of callers as well as wake-up calls can be found in
your digital phone operating manual. These services cannot be programed
via your ISDN telephone devices.

5 T roubleshooting
Description of problem:
I cannot make calls via the ISDN telephone adapter
Is your cable modem Consult chap. 1 «Installation» of your digital phone
correctly connected? Operating Manual.
Does the green «READY» Check that the supplied (12 V) mains adapter is correctly
LED at the front of ISDN connected. Disconnect the mains adapter from the
telephone adapter light mains, wait a few seconds and then plug it in again, to
up? set the ISDN telephone adapter.
If the green «READY» LED still does not light up or
the red «ERROR» LED blinks, call our technical support
at 0800 22 0800.
Does the green «LINE 1» Check the RJ11 cable connecting the «LINE 1» socket
LED of the ISDN of the cable modem and the «LINE 1» socket of the
telephone adapters light ISDN telephone adapter. (See chap. 2.2)
up? The green «LINE 1» LED should now light up.
Does the green «LINE 2» If you have ordered two lines, check the RJ11 cable
LED of the ISDN connecting the «LINE 1» socket of the cable modem
telephone adapter light and the «LINE 1» socket of the ISDN telephone adapter.
up? Also check the RJ11 cable connecting the «LINE 2»
socket of the cable modem and the «LINE 2» socket of
the ISDN telephone adapter. The green «LINE 2» LED
should now light up (see chap. 2.2).
