3 Applications
With the fog machine it is possible to create an excep-
tional atmosphere by emitting artificial fog. Especially
effective scenes occur by radiating the fog with coloured
light. Thus, the unit is suitable for applications e. g. in the
discothèque, in the theatre, and at the private party.
4 Setting into Operation
4.1 Setting-up
1) Remove the complete packing material. Take care
that no packing remnants are at the fog machine.
2) Place the unit on a horizontal surface, so that no
fluid can leak out.
4.2 Filling up of fog fluid
Caution! When filling up with fog fluid, the unit must
not be connected to the mains. Dis-
connect the plug from the mains socket
first!
The unit is not splashproof. If fluid pene-
trates the inside of the housing by acci-
dent, do not set the fog machine into ope-
ration but have it first checked and
cleaned by skilled personnel.
1) The following fluids by "img Stage Line" are suit-
able:
NF-500L
"long life", 5 litre container
NF-500SL "super long life", 5 litre container
Only the fluids as stated must be used, otherwise
no liability for a correct operation can be taken over!
Do not add any additives, like e. g. fragrances, oils,
etc. to the fog fluid!
2) Screw off the tank cap (1) and fill in the fog fluid. Do
not fill in more fluid than up to the marking FULL of
the window (5). If fluid should flow beside the tank,
immediately wipe it off with a dry cloth so that it
does not get inside the housing.
3) Tightly close the tank again.
4.3 Operation
Caution! The operation must only be made by
adults. Never leave the fog machine in
operation without supervision.
Never operate the fog machine without
fog fluid. There is danger of overheating
(danger of fire) and danger of a possible
damage to the unit! As soon as the warn-
ing LED (3) flashes red, switch off the unit
and refill with fluid – see chapter 4.2.
1) Connect the plug (16) of the remote control to the
jack (4) on the rear side of the fog machine.
2) Connect the supplied mains cable to the jack (6) of
the fog machine first and then to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).
3) Switch on the fog machine with the POWER switch
(2). The POWER switch lights up as well as the red
POWER LED (10) on the remote control. The unit
heats up for four to ten minutes depending on the
environmental conditions. The fan for fog emitting is
continuously in operation, even if no fog is emitted.
4) As soon as the green LED (13) on the remote con-
trol lights up, fog can be emitted:
a Manual operation
Keep the green MANUAL button (15) pressed.
The maximum fog quantity is emitted as long as
the button is kept pressed [independent of the
VOLUME control (12)].
b Continuous operation
Engage the red CON'T button (14). Fog is con-
tinuously emitted until the button is released.
The emitted fog quantity can be adjusted with
the VOLUME control (12) from 0 to 100 %.
c Timer operation
By the timer operation fog can be emitted in inter-
vals. For this purpose engage the yellow TIMER
button (11). The yellow LED (9) lights up. If the
time adjusted with the INTERVAL control (8) has
elapsed, fog will be emitted for approx.
15 seconds. This output time is fixed. Adjust the
fog quantity with the VOLUME control (12).
Adjust the time up to the next fog interval with the
INTERVAL control (8) between 10 seconds (con-
trol completely turned to the left: position "-") and
3 minutes (control completely turned to the right:
position "+").
To switch off the timer operation, release the
TIMER button. The yellow LED extinguishes.
Notes
a By subsequent dripping of fluid the unit may still
emit some fog even after the fog output.
b The continuous operation has priority over the
timer operation, i. e. if the buttons TIMER and
CON'T are pressed, fog will be emitted con-
tinuously.
c The manual operation has priority over the other
two operating modes, i. e. as long as the
MANUAL button is kept pressed, the unit always
emits fog at maximum quantity.
5) After operation switch off the fog machine with the
mains switch (2).
6) For transporting the unit let it cool down first and
then empty the tank completely!
