Introduction

ULYSCOM ETHERNET module is a device which allows to manage a single energy counter by any PC connected to LAN/Internet by
means of a simple web browser.
ULYSCOM ETHERNET web pages are designed to be cross browser compliant: Internet Explorer 11, Mozilla Firefox 27, Apple Safari
5, Google Chrome 33, Opera 20 are all supported web browsers.
ULYSCOM ETHERNET web pages are provided with Ajax technology to update data in real time.
With Ajax, web applications can read data from the server asynchronously in the background without interferring with the display and
behavior of the existing page. The use of Ajax techniques has led to an increase in interactive or dynamic interfaces on web pages and
better quality of web services due to the asynchronous mode.
ULYSCOM ETHERNET can be upgraded directly from the web server.

How to access ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server

ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server can be accessed by any PC connected to LAN/Internet.
ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server has been designed for two user type:
• administrator
: full ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server use. It can manage the counter, carry out ULYSCOM ETHERNET setup,
upgrade and manage its access accounts.
• User
: limited ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server use (possibility to have up to 20 User accounts).

Enable (parameter selection) or delete measured data recordings
Display counter status information
Change ULYSCOM ETHERNET settings
Change settings for energy costs calculation
Upgrade ULYSCOM ETHERNET
Manage web server access accounts (Administrator, User)
Start/stop/reset partial counters
ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server access can be carried out only by entering Username and Password relevant to the own account
(Administrator or User). According to the entered Username and Password, ULYSCOM ETHERNET will display the available
functions.
NOTE: It is suggested to carry out the first ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server access by a person who will hold the
Administrator account.
To access ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server, turn on a PC and follow the instructions:
1. Run the Internet browser (e.g.: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox) and type
2. Type in the relevant fields Username and Password (in case of first web server access, Username: admin, Password: admin).
3. Confirm with Login key and the web server Home page will be displayed.
NOTE: For a safety ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server use, change and customize Username and Password for Administrator
and User accounts (refer to chapter ULYSCOM ETHERNET web server structure, section Users).
WARNING: After the first access, it is important to change the ULYSCOM ETHERNET IP address (refer to chapter ULYSCOM
ETHERNET web pages structure, section Settings).
