Remove dead batteries from the de-
vice immediately.
Protect the device from heat sources,
naked fl ames, direct sunlight, sub-ze-
ro temperatures, persistent moisture
and wet conditions.
Do not drop the device and do not
subject it to severe impacts.
Do not place very heavy objects on
the device and do not allow anything
to drop onto the device.
INSERTING / REPLACING
BATTERIES
Please Note!
Use only the battery type specifi ed in
the technical data.
Always replace all batteries together.
Never use batteries of different types
or brands, or batteries with different
capacities.
If
is shown on the display, the
batteries are too weak and need
to be replaced. Two 1.5 V batter-
ies, AAA are required.
1. Open the battery compartment on
the bottom of the scales by pressing
the locking lug towards the battery
compartment and removing the bat-
tery compartment cover.
2. Take the dead batteries out of the
battery compartment.
3. Check whether the contacts in the
device and on the batteries are clean,
and clean them if necessary.
4. Insert two new batteries. Pay attention
to the correct polarity (+ / –).
5. Close the battery compartment. The
battery compartment cover must be
heard to engage.

USE

Please Note!
Always place the device on a dry, fl at
and solid surface. Uneven surfaces
may distort the measurement result.
Only use the device indoors in en-
closed spaces with a moderate indoor
climate. If the device is moved from a
cold room into a warm room, conden-
sation may be formed. First heat the
device back up to room temperature
before it is used.
1. Switch on the scales by pressing the
ON / OFF fi eld. All characters on the
display switch on, and 0 is displayed
after around 3 seconds.
The unit of weight can be
changed via the UNIT fi eld
in the following sequence:
g – oz – ml – lb.oz
2. Lay or place food on the stainless
steel plate. The weight is calculated.
3. If several items of food are to be
weighed one after the other (tare
function (Tare)), press the Z/T fi eld to
reset the weight display to 0. TARE is
shown on the display.
4. Switch off the scales after use by
pressing the ON / OFF fi eld for
around 3 seconds.
The scales automatically switch
to standby mode after around 15
seconds (display light goes out).
When something is placed on the
scales, they switch back on.
The scales switch off automatical-
ly after around 60 seconds.
