ERROR MESSAGES

The following error messages may appear
on the display:
Display Meaning
The batteries of the scales
are too weak. Insert new
batteries.
There are more than 5000
ERR g on the scales. They are
overloaded.
0 is not shown on the display even
though there is nothing on the stain-
less steel plate.
The scales are tilted.

Always make sure that the scales are
on a flat surface so that the measure-
ment result is not distorted.
A negative number is shown on the
display even though there is nothing
or something on the stainless steel
plate.
The tare function (Tare) has previously
been used and the weight display has not
been reset to zero.

If necessary, take the food off the
scales, press the Z/T field to reset the
display to 0.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Please Note!

No liquid must get into the device.
Never immerse the device in water!
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. They may damage
the surfaces.
• Clean the device with a slightly damp,
soft cloth and a little cleaning agent if
required.
• If the device is not going to be used
for a prolonged period, take out the
batteries (see the "Inserting / Re-
placing Batteries" chapter) and store
the device in a dry, clean place that
is protected from direct sunlight and
cannot be accessed by children or
animals.

DISPOSAL

Dispose of the packaging material
in an environmentally friendly man-
ner so that it can be recycled.
Batteries should be removed
before disposing of the device
and disposed of separately from
the device at suitable collection
points.
This device is governed by the
European Directive 2012/19/EU
on waste electrical and electronic
device (WEEE). Do not dispose
of this device as normal domestic
waste, but rather in an environ-
mentally friendly manner via an
offi cially approved waste disposal
company.
