Information on setup and use of the appliance
11. Make sure that the electrical outlet used
is easily accessible, in order to unplug the
appliance in an emergency.
12. Never touch the appliance or power cord
with wet hands.
13. Do not clean the base housing in a dish-
washer.
14. For safety reasons, never place the appli-
ance on hot surfaces, a metal tray or a wet
surface.
15. Never immerse the base housing in water or
other liquids.
16. Do not place the appliance or power cord
near open flames during operation.
17. Always use the appliance on a level, unclut-
tered and heat-resistant surface.
18. Make sure that the power cord does not hang
over the edge of the countertop or table,
since this can cause accidents, for example
if small children pull on the cord.
19. Route the power cord so that there is no pos-
sibility of the cord being pulled or tripped
over.
20. Never wrap the power cord around the appli-
ance.
21. To unplug the appliance, always pull on the
plug, never on the power cord.
22. Never use the power cord to carry the appli-
ance.
23. Use the appliance only indoors.

24. Use the appliance only for heating milk or
– in cleaning mode – water. Do not heat any
other liquids, since this could damage the
appliance.

operation, to prevent burns from splashing
milk.
27. Allow the appliance to cool several minutes
between uses.
28. Do not use the appliance with accessories
of other manufacturers or brands, to prevent
damage.
29. Unplug the appliance from the power supply
after use and before cleaning. Never leave
the appliance unattended when it is plugged
in to the power supply.
30. Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning
it.

injury from emerging steam or hot
splashing milk – danger of burns!
Never open the housing of the appli-
ance. this can result in electric shock.
