Maintenance
BLS Level Sensors must be checked and cleaned regularly (min. 1x annually).
Procedure:
1.
Cut off power supply! Be aware of the danger of hazardous voltage!
2.
Vent process vessel to atmosphere, if necessary lower liquid level.
3.
Remove level sensor.
4.
Remove any deposit of sludge, scale etc.
5.
Check the correct function of the sensor by immersing it into a suitable liquid.
6.
Remount the level sensor.
7.
Energize power supply.

Replacement of the Level Sensor
In the case of uncertainty on any point, please contact the local Besta agent or the manufacturer.
7.
Recommended spare parts
Per 10 units: 1 level sensor.
8.
Fire protection
BLS Level Sensors must be protected against external fires.
9.
Disposal
BLS Level Sensors are free of asbestos or otherwise hazardous materials (2002/95/EC - RoHS).
Disposal to be carried out according to environmental and local regulations.
