DESCRIPTION
This charger charges all 2 / 6 / 12V DC sealed lead acid batteries
between 2.2Ah and 10Ah automatically. When connected battery is
fully charged, charging current is reduced to prevent overcharging.
Automatic voltage and current control ensures that the connected
battery stays completely charged and overcharging as well as gas
development is prevented. Provided with short circuit and wrong
polarity protection
OPERATING INFORMATION
In contrast to simple chargers the charging current of this automatic
charger is not constant and depends on some components, for
example the actual charging level of the battery, the age, type and
capacity of the battery. Also it is important how much the battery has
been discharged before.
If the battery has been discharged with high currency, then charging
will also start with high current (max. 0,6mA). This means that with
rising of the battery voltage, the charging current decreases.
Towards the end of the charging process normally the green light
diminishes, indicating that the battery is fully charged. With old
batteries sometimes there might be a small current fl owing (leakage
current of the battery). Here the green light might stay on, depending
on the strength of this leakage current.
This charger can charge batteries of capacities between 2.2Ah and
10Ah. The bigger the capacity, the longer the charging time will be.
For charging it is not important if the battery is partly or completely
discharged. The battery can stay connected for the charger for a long
period.
In case of connecting the battery with wrong polarity, the red LED will
burn and charging current will be cut off.
