3.1.4. Secondary cables
The surplus power of the module with
respect to small and medium lighting
systems allows greater freedom of
installation than the previous ranges of
power supplies permitted. Three
parameters set the limits of the
installation:
1 - The module cannot supply more
than 400 watts continuously.
2 - the module cannot supply a voltage
V
higher than 28
AC+DC
rms
3 - the correct installation regulations
recommend line losses of less than
10% of the power consumed by the
equipment.
The curves shown alongside
synthesize these three parameters
and make it possible to verify the
correct functioning of the module.
Example: an 8000 cupola has to be
installed 30 m from the module
It will be possible to use 8mm

During the installation, attention
should be paid always to make a good
connection of the + (red wire) at the
output of the module) and the - (black
wire at the output of the module).
The secondary cables will be kept
away from the primary cables as
much as possible.
3.1.5. Control transfer cables
These are only cables transmitting
information and the power supply
of the LEDs. It is therefore
particularly important that they
should be easily identifiable.
Screened 4-pair telephone cables for
the single lighting units and 7-pair
for the dual lighting units are a good
solution. In these types of cable, a
certain number of conductors can
be of the same colour (sky blue for
example), in this case it is necessary
to strip a certain length in order to
separate them in pairs.
3.1.6. Emergency battery cables
As these supply the lights low
voltage, their cross-section must
remain large: we recommend 6
mm

to be coloured ones in order to
clearly identify the + and the - at
the level of the connection to the
modules terminal strip.
