Preparing the pick-up
The pick-up can be used to detect the
acoustic signals (rings or beeps) of the door-
bell or smoke alarm currently used directly.
The signals detected are then transmitted to
the RingFlash 250 base station and issued as
the type of signal alarm previously selected
(special alarm signal for smoke alarm). Pro-
ceed as follows to install the pick-up:
1. Unscrew the housing screw (5) out of the
cover of the pick-up.
2. Remove the loose, unscrewed cover from
the housing (2) of the pick-up.
You can switch the application for which
the pick-up is used. You can use the pick-
up for door bells or smoke alarms, for
example. In order to be able to use both
functions, you need an additional pick-up
(option).

3. You can now adapt the settings according
to your intended purpose. Change the
setting of the 2-position mini DIP switch
according to the following diagrams.

When set-up for doorbell 1, the LED in
STOP button (7) lights up yellow; when
set-up for doorbell 2, the LED in the
STOP button (7) lights up green.
4. Insert the batteries (CR2 and 23A) in the
holders provided. Pay attention that the
batteries are inserted the right way around
(correct polarity).
5. Place the housing cover of the pick-up
back on the housing (2).
