Tool change
Keyless chuck Futuro Plus
See illustrations, page 3.
Insert tool. Hold ring (a) and turn the sleeve (b) with
your other hand in direction "GRIP, ZU" until
further rotation is impossible.
With a soft tool shank, retightening may be
required after a short drilling period.
Opening chuck: Hold ring (a) and turn the sleeve (b)
with your other hand in direction "AUF, RELEASE".
Note: The ratchet sound which can possibly be
heard after opening the drill chuck, is functional
and is switched off by a reverse rotation of the
sleeve.
If the chuck is very securely tightened: Unplug.
Hold drill chuck using an open-end spanner at the
flats on its head and turn the sleeve (b) vigourously
in direction of "AUF, RELEASE".

Removing the chuck
Keyless chuck Futuro Plus
Undo the locking screw. Caution left-handed
thread!
Hold the drill spindle tight with an open-ended
spanner. With a light blow from a rubber hammer,
release the chuck from the clamped hexagon
spanner and unscrew it.
8 Tips and Tricks
In the case of deep bores pull the drill bit out of the
bore from time to time in order to remove the bore
dust or shavings.
The chuck can be removed for screwdriving. Insert
screwdriver bit directly in the hexagon socket of
the spindle.
When the bit spring collet is fitted, the screwdriver
bit is held in position.
9 Maintenance
Keyless chuck cleaning:
After prolonged use hold the chuck vertically, with
the opening facing down, and fully open and close
it several times. The dust collected falls from the
opening. Regular use of cleaning spray on the jaws
and jaw openings is recommended.
