Safety instructions
Before beginning with the installation, these installation and operating instructions are to be read carefully.
Non-compliance endangers not only yourself, but also the safety of third parties.
The vehicle operator is responsible for the condition and the secure fixation and loading of the bicycle rack.
The bicycle rack must be securely installed according to the instructions.
All straps and brackets of the bicycle rack are to be checked for a secure fit and tightened if necessary.
Attention!
Before each trip, ensure that the locking mechanism of the bicycle rack is properly functioning by checking the following features:
•
The plug pipe has to be pushed all the way into the receiving lug on the vehicle; the red spot on the plug pipe should no longer be
visible.
•
The locking should be clearly heard by the snapping in of the clamping claw.
•
Check whether the snap-in nose is properly locked in the receiving lug by pulling the bicycle rack towards the back in driving
direction.
•
Tighten the handwheel until resistance can be felt. It should not be possible to push the handwheel down.
•
Lock the handwheel.
If all five of these features are not fulfilled satisfactory, you have to reassemble the bicycle rack.
Even if only one of these features is not fulfilled, the bicycle rack may not to be used due to the accident hazard. Contact the manufacturer.
The assembly and disassembly of the bicycle rack can usually be carried out manually without great effort.
