VIBRATIONS
A high level of vibration and long periods of exposure are the factors contributing to white finger disease
(Raynaud's phenomenon). In order to reduce the risk of white finger disease, you need to be aware of these
recommendations:

Always wear gloves.

Worry about always keeping your hands warm.

Make sure that the chain is always sharp.

Take frequent breaks.

Always hold the machine firmly by the handles.
If you notice any of the symptoms of white finger disease, see your doctor immediately.
RESIDUAL RISK FACTORS
Risk of injury to the skin and other parts of the body from projections of objects. This machine generates an
electromagnetic field during operation. This field may, in some circumstances, interfere with active or passive
medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, people with medical implants should consult their
doctors and the implant manufacturer before using this machine.
SAFETY IN THE WORK AREA
Do not use the machine in extreme temperatures.
Keep the machine away from excessive moisture.
Do not use this machine in explosive atmospheres in the presence of flammable liquids, gases and dust.
Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas can cause accidents.
Remove all objects from the work area before turning on this machine. Objects near the product may be touched
and projected by the machine causing personal injury.
Keep children, people or animals away while operating this machine.
When work is being performed simultaneously by two or more persons, always check the location of the others
and keep a sufficient distance to ensure safety.
Remember that the operator of the machine is responsible for hazards and accidents caused to other persons
or things. The manufacturer is in no way responsible for damage caused by improper or incorrect use of this
machine.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Never modify the plug in any way. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
If you discover any damage, send your machine for service. keep the battery away from extreme heat and cold.
Power tool plugs and sockets must match the electrical outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with grounded power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of electric
shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased
risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
Only charge the battery at an ambient temperature (surrounding air) between 0ºC and 40ºC.
Do not operate the battery charger outdoors.
When not in use or before cleaning and repair, disconnect the charger from the power supply. Take special care
with the battery.
Do not abuse the cable. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
Store the battery in a dry place between 10°C and 30°C when not in use.
This battery is sealed and no liquid should ever leak from the battery. If the seal is broken and the liquid touches
your skin, wash quickly with plenty of soap and water; neutralise the liquid with a weak acid (such as lemon or
