Fitting instructions
1. Disassemble the bumper and remove definitively the aluminum buffer beam. The sealings between
the buffer beam and the coach work must be retain!
2. Make an incision in the sealing (cf. drawing 1). Firstly install the closing plate ref. 3 on both the
assembly pieces (ref. 1) and (ref. 2) and then install the sealing against the closing plate in this way
that the assembly pieces (ref. 1) and (ref. 2) can be inserted in the chassis beam, the closing plate fits
with the screw-threat ends of the vehicle. Install the assembly pieces (ref. 1) at the left and (ref. 2) at
the right with (A) and (B) fitting with the provided holes, that are sealed off with tape which das to
be removed. Insert bolts and washers without tightening.
3. Install the tow bar with (C) and 5d) between both the assembly pieces and insert the bolts. Do tighten
everything firmly (see tension).
4. Seal the remainder of the holes between the assembly piece and the sealing with silicone to avoid
infiltration of water.
5. Assemble the bumper.
6. Assemble the ball together with the security shackle, insert the bolts and do fasten with bolts (see
tension).
Disassemble the bumper:
- Disassemble the rear light units
- 2x1 screw behind the light units
- 7 screws under the bumper
- 2x3 screws at mud catcher
- Loosen the sides and pull them to the outside
Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
