6.4 Changing the saw blade (Fig. 1/7-8)
Danger! Always pull out the power plug befo-
re doing any work on the circular saw!
Use only saw blades which comply with standard
EN 847-1 and are of the same type as the saw
blade supplied with this circular saw. Ask your
dealer for advice.
Caution! The mini hand-held circular saw must
not be operated with the Allen key inserted in it.
•
Undo the screw for securing the saw blade
(12) by turning it in clockwise direction with
the Allen key (a) while at the same time hol-
ding on the opposite side with the Allen key
(b).
•
Press the locking button (3) and use the lever
(5) to raise the adjustable soleplate (6) and
hold.
•
Remove the saw blade (7) in a downwards
direction.
•
Clean the flange and insert the new saw bla-
de. Pay attention to the running direction (see
arrow on the housing (c) and saw blade).
•
Tighten the screw to secure the saw blade
(12), check it runs true.
•
Before you press the On/Off switch, make
sure that the saw blade is correctly fitted and
that moving parts run smoothly and the clam-
ping screws are tightened securely.
6.5 Replacing the drive belt (Fig. 9-10)
•
The belt should be replaced by a trained ex-
pert.
•
The drive belt (B) must be replaced if it is
worn.
•
Undo the screw (a) and remove side belt co-

•
Unscrew the screw from the belt pulley (C)
and remove the disk from on top of the belt
pulley.

Remove the worn drive belt (B) and clean the
two belt pulleys (C/D).
•
Place the new drive belt on the belt pulley (C)
and pull the belt onto the belt pulley (D) whilst
turning the shaft.
•
Make sure that the drive belt is properly sea-

6.6 Reset button (Fig. 11)
In case of overloading, e.g. due to the saw blade
becoming jammed, the equipment will shut down
automatically. To restart, you must fi rst press the
reset button (14). The equipment can then be
operated as normal.
6.7 Fitting and using the guide rail (Fig. 12-
17 / Item b)
With the guide rail you can make exact and
straight cuts.
6.7.1 Assembly
To fi t the 3 guide rails, proceed as follows.
•
Place the two connecting pieces (a) together.
Insert the tenon of the one part into the hole
of the other part. (See Fig. 12)
•
Push the assembled connecting piece (a)
half-way into the bottom side of the guide
rail (b). Make sure that the head of the Allen
screws is visible. (See Fig. 13 / 1.)
•
Now push another guide rail onto the half-
visible connecting piece (a) until the two rails
meet. (See Fig. 13 / 2.)
•
Tighten the two Allen screws (c) with the Allen
wrench (d) so that it is no longer possible to
separate the guide rails. (See Fig. 14)
•
To dismantle, proceed in reverse order.
6.7.2 Use
•
Mark up your workpiece.
•
Position the guide rail (b) so that the edge of
the guide rail (b) rests against the marker line
on the workpiece.
•
Push the mini hand-held circular saw into the
guide of the guide rail (b). (See Fig. 15)
•
Switch on the mini hand-held circular saw and
move it evenly with little force along the guide
rail (b). (See Fig. 16)
Important!
When the fi rst cut is made, a piece of the rub-
ber lip at the edge of the guide rail will be cut
off (see Fig. 17). This ensures that the rubber
lip rests exactly against the saw blade. There-
fore, use a waste piece for this fi rst cut.
