Cleaning and Storage
CAUTION!
■
Never immerse the device, mains lead or plug in water or other liquids.
■
Always switch off the device before cleaning and storing it; pull the mains plug and
let the device cool down completely.
■
Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads. These could
damage the surface.
■
Do not use metal objects for cleaning.
■
The crumb tray is suited for cleaning in a dishwasher.
■
Do not spray cleaning agents directly onto or into the device.
•
Wipe off the outside of the device with a clean, soft, slightly moist cloth and dry it
with a soft cloth.
•
Inspect the mains lead for damage at regular intervals.
•
Regularly empty the crumb tray:
1. Remove the crumb tray carefully.
2. Remove the crumbs. Wipe off the tray with a moist cloth or rinse it with a mild
detergent under running water.
3. Dry the tray thoroughly.
4. Reinsert the crumb tray.
•
Store the device in a dry, clean place that is not accessible to children.
Troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself fi rst.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem

Possible cause/solution
•
Is the mains adapter inserted in the mains socket?
•
Is the mains socket defective? Try another mains socket.
•
Check the fuse of the main connection.
•
Set a shorter roasting time.
