■ Only use suitable baked items. Do not roast any extremely dry baked goods, e.g.
crispbread, as they can catch fi re readily.
■ If bread or parts of the device catch fi re, do not try to extinguish them with water
under any circumstances. Remove the plug from the socket and smother the fl ames
with a wet cloth.
Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
■ Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm and heat-resistant surface.
■ Lay the cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow the cable to
hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch him/herself
and pull down the device.
■ Use only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer.
■ Only use the device with the crumb tray inserted and empty the tray regularly.
■ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
■ Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
■ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature,
moisture, wetness or direct sunlight.
■ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. They
could damage the surface.
Hygienic notes
■ The device may have production residue stuck to it. To avoid health risks, clean the
device before fi rst use (see chapter "Cleaning and Storage").
■ Keep the device clean.
