3.1 Distinguishing features of the device variants

ProfiMaster is produced in two versions.
• ProfiMaster IFA
• ProfiMaster
The ProfiMaster device standard variant has been tested by IFA.
This means that the ProfiMaster device complies with the requirements specified by
IFA (Institut für Arbeitsschutz der Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung -
Institute for Occupational Safety of German Legal Accident Insurance) and fulfils
these testing regulations.
For simplification, this is indicated with an IFA logo with cautions in this instruction
manual.
The IFA logo with cautions draws the reader's atention to important notifications and
information with respect to the ProfiMaster IFA device.
Device identification
ProfiMaster IFA
ProfiMaster
ProfiMaster IFA is marked on the device body with DGUV-Test symbol and W3
identification (welding fume class identification) in a form of a label.
The location of this label is described in 3.4. (Markings and labels on the ProfiMaster
device)
The precise device variant can be identified according to this label and "IFA" marking
on the nameplate.
