11. System Range Information

The range of the radio gong amounts to 100m. This value,
however, is the so called free vision coverage. This is the
range for the direct sight contact between the emitter

But in practical operation, several ambient conditions reduce
the coverage:
• walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• coated/vapour-deposited insulating glass panes
• vehicles
• trees, brushes, earth, rocks
• the proximity to metallic objects (e.g. metal door)
• the proximity to the human body
• broad-band interference, e.g. in residence areas (DECT
telephones, mobiles, wireless headphones and
loudspeakers, baby phones, etc.)
• the proximity to electric motors, transformers, power supply
units, computers
• the proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating
computers or other electric appliances
As the local conditions vary at the different places
of installation, a guarantee for a specific coverage
cannot be given.
Generally, the operation of the unit in the radius
nearby the "KeyMatic
"normal" detached house should be faultless without
problems.
