B. Assembly instructions
We recommend that installation is performed by a profes-
sional. Proper installation guarantees safe and long-term
operation. The device must undergo a functional test by a
qualified technician or in German-speaking countries by the
Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister (district chimney and flue
inspector).
Caution!
Do not plug the AS-4080 into the power socket until the
magnetic sensor is mounted on the window.
B.1 Magnetic sensor (see Fig. 1)
Note: With this model you must decide whether the window
has to be turned or tilted to actuate the air extraction hood.
A corresponding notice should be affixed to the window.
For correct location of the magnetic sensor, see Graphic 2.
B.2 Minimum opening of the window
This is determined by:
a. The throughput of the air extraction device in m
b. The size of the window to be opened in m
c. The size of the gap at the window in cm (see Table 1)
Most kitchens are equipped with rectangular combination tilt
& turn windows.
If the window is, for example, round in form, then ask your
specialist installation technician or the district flue & chimney
inspector to calculate the minimum opening.
An example of the required minimum opening for a rectangu-
lar window is shown in the table for tilt/turn adjustment.

gap opening of your window
