REMOVE THE FOUR COVER-PLATES.
Use a flat tool to pry them off.
If your
vehicle
has factory
crossbars,
remove them
Access the small
now.
depressions on the inside
edge of the plates.
Remove the covers
from the bases.
When the racks are not
installed, use the covers to
keep the bases free of debris.
READ THESE WARNINGS!
Be sure all hardware is secured according to
instructions. Failure to perform safety checks before
driving away can result in property damage, personal
injury, or death.
Attachment hardware can loosen over time. Check
and tighten if necessary, before each use.
Continue with SkyLine or Control Tower installation.

COMBINE PADS TO BASES, INSTALL INTO TRACK.
• Match the shape of the base to
the pad opening
• For Honda Element SC only,
place spacer between pad and
base.
Match the shape of the
spacer to the shape of the pad.
• Pads are labeled L and R to
correspond to vehicle left
and right, when sitting in the
vehicle.
• Install screws and washers into
correct holes (refer to Step 3).
LOCATE SCREW HOLES.
You may want to prepare holes by
installing and removing screws until
holes are free of debris.
FRONT OF CAR:
Use the two holes
closest to the front
of the vehicle.
• DO NOT EXCEED WEIGHT LIMIT:
165 lbs. (75 kg)
• Consult your YAKIMA dealer or fit list to
see load limitations for accessories.
Remove your YAKIMA rack and accessories before
entering automatic car washes.
REAR:
Use the two holes
closest to the rear
of the vehicle.
Using the included
wrench, tighten
screws completely.
Make sure bases, pads
and spacers (if applicable)
are fitting tightly into track.
