BEFORE STARTING THE APPLIANCE
o
You can fill up the kettle when the lid open or closed. After you have filled the kettle
do not forget to close the lid, otherwise the kettle will not turn off automatically
after boiling. The amount of water in the kettle must always be under the "Max"
level.
o
Place the kettle on the base and turn it on. The indicator light will be illuminated for
as long as the water is warming up.
o
As soon as the water has boiled, the kettle will turn off automatically. But you can
turn the appliance off by hand at any time.
o
Once the kettle has switched off automatically, the boiled water must be poured
out in order to be able to use the kettle to boil some more water after around 15 to
20 seconds. The kettle will not switch on during this time.
DESCALING
o
The kettle should be descaled on a regular basis depending on how hard the water
supply is. To do this, use the special descaling tablets from Rotel. First of all fill the
kettle with around 0.5 litres of warm water and then put in 2-4 tablets depending
on how bad the build of lime-scale is. Never heat up the solution, otherwise it will
foam over. Leave the solution for up to half an hour depending on how bad the
build up is.

After descaling rinse the kettle out thoroughly with clean water.
CLEANING AND CARE
o
Pull out the plug before cleaning. Never immerse the kettle and its base in water.
Rinse the kettle out from time to time. Only wipe the outside of the kettle with a
damp cloth. Do not use any sharp and abrasive cleaning agents.
DISPOSAL
o
For proper disposal, the unit is to return to the dealer, the service agent or the
company Rotel AG.
