Thank you for purcahsing an AC/DC current clamp E6N.
For best results from your instrument:
read this user manual carefully,
comply with the precautions for use.
MEANING OF THE SYMBOLS
WARNING, DANGER! The operator should refer to this user's manual
whenever this danger symbol appears.
The CE marking indicates conformity with European directives, in
particular LVD and EMC.
The rubbish bin with a line through it indicates that, in the European
Union, the product must undergo selective disposal in compliance with
Directive WEEE 2002/96/EC. This equipment must not be treated as
household waste.
Application or withdrawal authorized on bare conductors carrying
dangerous voltages. Type A current sensor as per IEC 61010-2-032.
Do not use the clamp on conductors in wich the common mode voltage in relation to
earth is more than 600 V rms.
Do not clamp a conductor unless it is connected to a measuring instrument.
Keep the cable or the busbar centred in the clamp which should be perpendicular to the
conductor.
Avoid proximity to other conductors which may create fields of interference.
The clamp must be totally disconnected in the OFF position when the battery is
changed.
In order for a measurement chain to conform to a standard, it is necessary that each
item of the chain also conforms to this standard. For your safety, ensure that the
instruments used with your clamp are also in accordance with IEC 61010 and its
conditions of application. In particular, check that the terminals of the instruments used
are protected by an earth link or by adequate insulation.
Keep the jaw faces clean. (See Maintenance chapter).
