5.3 Switching on
To controller on the heated underblanket, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting 1,
2 or 3.
The temperature settings are illuminated when switched on.
5.4 Setting the temperature
0 = Off
1 = Minimum heat
2 = Medium heat
3 = Maximum heat
WARNING
If the heated underblanket is used continuously (for several hours) it is
recommended to use the lowest setting of the control to avoid overheat-
ing of the user.
NOTE:
• The quickest way to heat up the heated underblanket is to select the highest temperature setting
of the controller, first.
• We strongly recommend switching on the heated underblanket approx. 30 minutes before going to
bed and covering it with the quilt to prevent the warmth from escaping.
5.5 Automatic switch-off UB 60
This heat underblanket switches off automatically after approximately 3 hours.
The red indicator light on the switch is illuminated while the heat underblanket is being heated. After the
switch-off time expires, the underblanket is no longer heated and the red indicator light starts flashing. To
heat the underblanket again, first set the switch to zero '0' (off) for approx. 5 seconds and then select the
required temperature. If the heated underblanket is no longer used after timeout, it should be switched off
(setting '0') or else disconnected from the mains.
5.6 Switching off
To controller off the heated underblanket, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF (0)
position. The temperature settings are then no longer illuminated.
NOTE:
If the heated underblanket is not used for several days, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature
settings to the OFF (0) position and remove the mains plug from the socket.
6. Cleaning and care
WARNING
Always remove the supply plug from the mains outlet and remove the controller from the heated
underblanket by disconnecting it at the connector.
Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.
