In this mode of operation, the torque`s peak-value is collected while you are turning the test object
CW (to the right, usually the direction to turn lids right back). If you turn into the wrong direction, the
actual measurement values will be displayed blinkingly.
The peak-value is reset by pressing the Reset-button.
6.0 General settings
6.1 Selecting the measuring unit (Default: Nm)
Measurement results can be displayed as Newton metres (Nm), Newton centimetres (Ncm), kilogramme
centimetres (Kgcm) and inch-pounds (Lb-in). Newton metre is the default setting.
•
Switch the instrument off.
•
Keep the Reset-button pressed while operating the Power-key.
•
The display shows Fo1 now. (Attention: in the case of TMI-300, choose F02 by pressing the Reset-button
once again).
•
Select the desired measurement unit with the Mode-button.
•
Press the Reset-button repeatedly until the instrument shows the actual measurement value.
6.2 Setting the display-update-rate
1, 2, 4 and 8 times per second can be set as display-update-time. Default 2 Hz.
•
Switch the instrument off.
•
Keep the Reset-button pressed while switching the instrument on.
•
The display shows Fo1 now.
•
Press the Reset-button until the display shows Fo2 (TMI-100 and TMI-200), or Fo3 (TMI-300) respectively.
•
Select the desired update-rate with the Mode-button.
•
Press the Reset-button repeatedly until the instrument shows the actual measurement value.
6.3 Disabling the automatic shut-down
After not having been operated for 10 minutes, the instrument shuts down automatically. To disable and enable
this function please proceed as follows:
•
Switch the instrument off.
•
Keep the Reset-button pressed while switching the instrument on.
•
The display shows F01 now.
•
Press the Reset-button until the display shows Fo3 (TMI-100 and TMI-200), or Fo5 (TMI-300) respectively.
•
Press the Mode-button to choose between "oFF" (no automatic shut-down) and "10" (shut-down after 10
minutes).
•
Press the Reset-button repeatedly until the instrument shows the actual measurement value.
6.4 Changing the prefix in the case of immediate indication
In the case of immediate indication, the CCW operated torque is displayed with a negative prefix. To change this
default setting please proceed as follows :
•
Switch the instrument off.
•
Keep the Reset-button pressed while switching the instrument on.
•
The display shows F01 now.
•
Press the Reset-button until the display shows Fo3 (TMI-100), Fo4 (TMI-200), or F09 (TMI-300) respectively.
•
Press the Mode-button to choose between –0000 (CW, negative indication) and 0000 (CW, positive
indication).
•
Press the Reset-button repeatedly until the instrument shows the actual measurement value.
7.0 Working with thresholds
Current measurement values, peak-values and stored results can be compared with pre-set thresholds.
If the threshold monitoring function is turned on, results will be indicated in the case of immediate indication by a
lightening up LED irrespective of the prefix. If both lower and upper threshold are "0" the threshold monitoring
