Problem
No espresso.
Water leaking out from
portafilter.
Milk not frothy enough/no

Brewing time too short/

Coffee powder too finely
ground.
Portafilter too full.
Machine not switched on/

Milk too warm.
Steam nozzle blocked.
Ground coffee powder too

Solution
Fill water container with
fresh drinking water.
Use medium-fine ground
coffee.
Use less coffee powder.
Plug in and switch on
machine.
Do not press the coffee
powder down so hard in
the portafilter.
Turn the portafilter to lock
it in the correct position.
Clean edge of filter.
Use less coffee powder.
Fill water container.
Use cold milk from the
refrigerator.
Flush the machine.
Use medium-fine ground
coffee.
Use more coffee powder.
Use medium-fine ground
coffee.
Use the large filter for large
cups and the small filter for
small cups.
Fill water container.
