3.2.
CT1 power supply circuit
The CT1 needs a very low power supply, as indicated in chapter 1.2
Connect the power supply conductors to the terminals L and N of the power supply device, as indicated in Fig 3 or Fig
4, using the appropriate provided terminal forks suitable for cables with cross sections of 0.5 - 1.5 mm
To interrupt the supply of power to the CT1, use a 2A double pole residual circuit breaker with overload protection and
with threshold currents Idn = 30 mA .
3.3.
Connection of the electrical load
Keep in mind that the relay contact does not supply any output voltage. The relay contact will be used only for closing the
circuit connected to the electrical load.
There are 2 different versions, as follows:
3.3.1.
Connection of the electrical load in the CT1 standard version, with relay 10A
Fig 3 shows a typical scheme for connection of an electrically powered load. Size the conductors according to the
current absorbed by the electrical load.
The maximum switching current and voltage of the relay is indicated in chapter 1.2.
To this circuit apply a double pole residual circuit breaker with overload protection with 30 mA residual current (Idn) and
tripping current (In) sized according to the current absorbed by the electrical load.
The relay contact can also be used for closing low voltage circuits or electrical signals.
3.3.2.
Connection of the electrical load in the CT1 version with relay 30A
The relay in this version has 2 contacts of greater power (see Fig 4).The maximum switching current and voltage of the
relay is indicated in chapter 1.2
Since the relay has two contacts, according to need and regulations only one contact can be used for closing the Line,
or else both contacts can be used for closing both the Line and the Neutral. The scheme in Fig 4 shows only one
contact being used for closing the Line.
Size the conductors according to the current absorbed by the electrical load.
To this circuit apply a double pole residual circuit breaker with overload protection with 30 mA residual current (Idn) and
tripping current (In) sized according to the current absorbed by the electrical load.
WARNING. Once all the electrical connections have been made, make sure they are securely fastened. Then proceed to lock
the cables in place by clamping them to the appropriate cable clamp, shown in Fig 2. Fasten the protection case as shown in
Fig 1 and make sure that once it is fastened into place no live circuits can be touched, hence preventing harmful risks to
operators when emptying the coin drawer.
