proceed as follows:
1.
Connect a flash unit to generator chan-

2.
Set switch (1) to ON.
3.
Use switch (25) to apply full output to

4.
Set output control (4) to minimum
output (display (5) showing 1.0).
5.
DO NOT fire the unit!
6.
Leave the unit switched on in this
condition for half an hour.
7.
At intervals of 30 minutes, increase
output by one f-stop until the display
(5) reads power level 5.0.
8.
DO NOT switch on the halogen light for
the entire duration of the forming pro-
cess.
The capacitors are formed after about three
hours, and the unit may be used.
1. Basic equipment
Magnolux generators:
Generator with 5m power cable, 5m sync
cable
Magnolux flash units:
Flash unit with 5m power cable, flash tube,
halogen tube, Pyrex globe, protective cap,
spare fuses.

2. Preparing the equipment for use/
connecting the flash units
Before using the equipment, compare its
nameplate ratings (27) with the data of your
local power supply. The generators have be-
en designed for 220-240V AC/50-60 Hz. A
