see illustrations section of this manual.
After completing assembly of the platform steps, check the following:
> Have all parts included in the scope of delivery been fitted?
> Have all guardrails and toeboards supplied been fitted and locked in place?
> Have all bolted connections been tightened? Have all connections been
tightened with the prescribed torques (see illustrations section of this
manual)?
5.1.1 General safety instructions on use
• Observe the safety instructions in "2.3 General safety instructions".
• Never leave the platform steps unattended in places accessible to the public.
Secure the platform steps against unauthorised access.
• Secure the platform steps to prevent them rolling away. Lock the brake levers on
the swivel castors.
• Check the following before using the platform steps:
> Are the platform steps standing in vertical position on an even and immobile
surface?
> Is the product in perfect condition?
> Are the sprung castors functional and correctly adjusted?
The sprung castors are preset at the factory to allow a spring displacement of
10 mm when the platform steps are set up and without load. If this is not
sufficient for the specific application conditions (e. g. use by very light or heavy
persons), the sprung castor can be moved up or down approximately 5 mm
after releasing the fastening screws.
