Use on other heat sources
Due to the practical rotating function the Petromax Rotating Waffle Iron is perfectly suitable to prepare
crunchy waffles and other food on the Petromax Atago. When using the Rotating Waffle Iron with
support frame on a different heat source you should bear in mind that enough space below is given
(at least the radius of the Iron). Otherwise rotating the Waffle Iron on the support frame is not possible.
Using the Rotating Waffle Iron on other heat sources without the corresponding support frame is not
advisable due to its high net weight. Thus, for use at campfire or grill we alternatively recommend the
Petromax Waffle Iron for Belgian waffles, available with long or short handle. If you still like to use your
Rotating Waffle Iron without support frame and Atago, it will possibly become very heavy while baking
your food. If you cannot take turns with somebody in holding the Iron, we recommend that you set up
a heat-resistant storage area at eye level.
Notes on baking and cooking
What applies to all Petromax Irons is also valid for the Rotating Waffle Iron: Preheat well before use! Rotate
the Waffle Iron several times as soon as the fire burns in the Atago or the briquettes glow. Afterwards,
grease your Rotating Waffle Iron well with a high-temperature oil or vegetable fat to prevent the food
from sticking. You can then add waffle batter and co. and get baking. When making waffles in the
Petromax Rotating Waffle Iron it is useful to mix the batter with slightly more grease than you might
do for an electric waffle iron, e.g. with melted butter. Always place your Rotating Waffle Iron in such
a way that the wooden handles cannot accidentally catch fire. Apart from savoury and sweet waffles
there are almost no limits for preparation methods with your Rotating Waffle Iron.
Warranty
In the case of proper use, a warranty period of two years will apply to your Petromax Rotating Waffle
Iron from the date of purchase. This does not cover wear parts. If you cannot properly use your Petromax
Rotating Waffle Iron due to a defect in material or manufacturing, you are entitled to a warranty repair.
