If the external 24V voltage is switched off (e.g. by emergency
off), the AirBox remains in the last triggered state (electrically
bistable action), e.g. cylinder piston is extended.
If the AirBox is then retriggered by software (i.e. the other out-
put is activated) and the external 24V voltage is switched on
again, the cylinder piston immediately retracts. This state differs
from the state before switching off the external 24V voltage.
Operation
Check the safe functioning of the unit. Display by LEDs:
• LED green: supply voltage via the AS-i system
• LEDs yellow: function display
• LED green: external voltage supply
For trouble-free operation sufficiently treated air must be used (filtered
air 5µm, lubricated (ISO-VG10)1) or not lubricated). Once the AirBox
has been operated with lubricated air, it always has to be operated
with lubricated air as the oil removes the initial lubrication.
