INSTALLATION
Inspection
Inspect the UPS on delivery. The packaging can be recycled and has been designed to guarantee safe
transportation of the unit, so keep it for future use or dispose of it in the appropriate manner.
Installation
Install the UPS ensuring that all the installation requisites are respected.
Connection to the Mains
Connect the input power plug to the mains outlet.
N.B. : The power cable is not included. Use the PC power cable for the connection.
Charging the Battery
The UPS unit charges the battery every time it is connected to the mains. To ensure optimum results, charge
the battery for 6 to 8 hours before use.
N.B. On the Win Dialog 40 model, the battery charger only works when the UPS unit is on (green LED
on)
Connecting the loads
Plug the loads into the output sockets on the rear panel of the UPS.
Warning: Do not connect a laser printer, photocopier or laser fax to the UPS together with other
computer peripherals as these units occasionally absorb a much greater amount of power than when they
are in standby mode - an event which could overload the UPS.
Connection to the Computer Interface (only for 40 Plus – 55 Plus – 65 Plus models)
The UPS can be connected to the serial port of the computer so as to monitor and guarantee correct computer
shutdown in the event of a power failure.
N.B.: Connection to the computer interface is optional. In fact, the UPS will function even if it is not
connected to the computer interface.
