17. Check the appliance, the plug and the power cord regularly for
wear or damage. In the event of damage to the power cord or
other parts, please send the appliance or the power cord to our
customer service organisation for inspection and repair. Unau-
thorised repairs can result in serious hazards for the user and
void the warranty.
18. If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or by the manufacturer's customer
service organisation, or by a person with similar qualifications,
to prevent hazards.
19. To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of
other manufacturers or brands.
20. Unplug the mains plug from the electrical outlet after use and
before cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended when the
mains plug is plugged in.
Information on setup and operation of the appliance
21. Do not place the appliance or power cord near open flames dur-
ing operation.
22. Never touch the appliance or power cord with wet hands.
23. For safety reasons, never place the appliance on hot surfaces, a
metal tray or a wet surface.
24. Always use the appliance on a level, uncluttered and heat-resist-
ant surface.
25. Ensure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the
counter top or table, since this can cause accidents, for example
if small children pull on the cord.
26. Never wrap the power cord around the appliance.
27. Route the power cord so that there is no possibility of the cord
being pulled or tripped over.
28. Before inserting or removing accessories or switch off the appli-
ance and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
29. If possible, do not use an extension cord or multiple socket out-
lets to operate the appliance.
30. The Lunchbox is only suitable for warming foods, as described in
these instructions. Do not put any other objects in the Lunchbox.
31. Ensure that dry food is not heated over an extended period of
time in the appliance – danger of fire!
