16. Disconnect the grey 32-pin plug from the BCM2 control unit (Fig. 1/1) and open the purple
catch. Release the following wire and insert into the white 3-pin socket housing on the cable
set:
Red/black wire from chamber 2 into chamber 2.

17. Insert the red/black wire from the cable set according to colour into the freed chambers 2 of
the 32-pin plug.
18. Close catches and reconnect plug to the BCM2 control unit (Fig. 1/1).
19. Plug the open 3-pin housings together.
20. Remove the rear cover on the black fuse box (fig. 1/5) and open the purple catch. Insert the
following wires in the respective fuse chambers:
Red wire into chamber 2A.

Red/blue wire into chamber 3A.
-
Red/black wire into chamber 4A.
-
21. Close the purple catch on the fuse box and replace the black cover.
22. Insert 15 A fuse provided into fuse position 2.
23. Insert the 20A fuses provided into fuse positions 3 and 4.
24. Only for A4 Saloon and all A5: Unclip the red fuse carrier (Fig. 1/6) from the bracket and
detach the black cover. Open the violet locking mechanism by sliding it and insert the
black/red cable in the fused side of the fuse chamber 8A.
25. Close the violet locking mechanism on the fuse carrier, press on the black cover and clip the
fuse carrier back into the bracket.
26. Lift the violet frame on the red fuse carrier (Fig. 1/6), insert the enclosed 5A fuse into F8 and
snap the violet frame back into place.
27. Only for A4 Avant: Unclip the red fuse carrier (Fig. 1/6) from the bracket and detach the
black cover. Open the violet locking mechanism by sliding it.
28. Lift off the violet frame and remove the 15A fuse from fuse position 8.
29. Release the black/red cable from the fused side of the fuse chamber 8A and insert it into the
1-pin housing on the cable set.
30. Insert the black/red conductor (within the 12-conductor cable set) into the fused side of the
fuse chamber 8A.
31. Now close up the open 1-pin housing.
32. Close the violet locking mechanism on the fuse carrier, press on the black cover and clip the
fuse carrier back into the bracket.
33. Re-insert the 15A fuse into fuse position 8 and snap the violet frame back into place.
34. Only for 13-pin trailer socket: Using the white 3-pin connector for the constant plus extension
kit, the functions "Charge lead" and "Ground for charge lead" can be retrofitted. The constant
plus extension kit is available from specialist shops under the Westfalia part no. 300 025 300
