Commissioning and Operation
Danger of injury due to uncontrolled actuator movements when pressurizing
with compressed air!
There is a danger of personal injury if the system is in an undefined state.
O Put the system in a defined state before switching it on.
System is operating under pressure.
Incorrect installation could damage the pressure regulator or the system and
cause serious injury.
O Before start-up, check that all connections, ports and components have been
assembled correctly.
Commissioning the pressure regulator
Before start-up, the pressure regulator must be discharged by unscrewing
1
the knurled screw ( , 3) (counterclockwise rotation).
Proceed as follows to commission the pressure regulator:
1. Make sure the pressure regulator is correctly assembled (see "Assembly" and
"Notes on Safety") and that all of the pressure connections are properly
connected.
2. Apply the compressed air to the system.

Service and Repairs
Cleaning and servicing
Damage to the regulator due to improper cleaning
The product can be damaged by strong detergents or high-pressure cleaners.
O Never use solvents or strong detergents. Only clean the product using a
slightly damp cloth. Only use water and, if necessary, a mild detergent.
O Do not use high-pressure cleaners for cleaning.
Maintenance
Danger of injury if maintenance work is performed under pressure or voltage!
Assembling or disassembling when under pressure can lead to injuries and
damage to the product or system components.
O Make sure that the relevant system part is not under pressure or voltage, and
depressurize the connected compressed air lines before conducting
maintenance.
O Protect the system against being switched on.
Cleaning the valve seat
1. Make sure that the relevant system part is not under pressure,
and depressurize the connected compressed air lines.
1
2. Disconnect the base screw ( , 4) on the pressure regulator.
3. Take out the valve seat ( , 5) to clean and lightly lubricate it.
1
4. Put the valve seat ( , 5) back into the pressure regulator.
1
1
5. Tighten the base screw ( , 4).
The pressure regulator is now ready again for operation.
Please contact the service department at AVENTICS Pneumatics if you have any
technical problems.

Decommissioning, Disassembly, Exchange
Danger of injury if disassembled under pressure or voltage!
Assembly or disassembly under pressure can lead to injuries and damage to the
product or system components.
O Make sure that the relevant system part is not under pressure or voltage
before disassembling the product or exchanging parts. Depressurize the
connected compressed air lines.
O Protect the system against being switched on.
